Strategic Communications and Brand Management

November 2021 to Present Fullerton, California

Create communications for high-visibility university initiatives within the Office of the President, supporting institutional priorities, university storytelling, reputation and campus engagement. Produce websites, email campaigns, newsletters, digital advertising, presentations, publications, print materials, event communications and university brand assets for students, faculty, staff, alumni and community audiences.

Lead the development of campus-wide templates that improve brand consistency, accessibility and production efficiency across departments. Also lead the development and ongoing improvement of the university’s campus-wide logo creation process, helping standardize requests, file preparation and delivery while making approved assets easier for campus teams to access and use.

Each format requires a different approach. Emails must communicate quickly and work across devices. Websites need clear structure, accurate content and accessible navigation. Publications must remain cohesive across multiple pages and rounds of revision. Print projects require attention to specifications, production methods, budgets, vendors and delivery schedules.

Stay involved from the initial discussion through final production. Collaborate with communications leadership, writers, project managers, photographers, videographers and campus teams to organize content, establish the visual direction, address feedback and guide projects through review and approval.

Maintain a consistently high workload while managing multiple projects, competing deadlines, revisions, accessibility requirements, quality control and final file preparation. Keep the work accurate, accessible, brand-aligned and visually consistent while considering how each audience will experience and use the final piece.
